Kathleen - I followed with interest your previous campaign and was excited to see you succeed. Good luck in round two! As a small business person in Grand Junction, considering running for office in the near future, I would like to talk with you about your strategies and challenges. Please feel to contact me at my email address or office.

You may have "lost" the seat but you made gains for third party candidates and voters, and I for one, appreciate your efforts. Looking forward to seeing you in public office again.

Kathleen: You ran against the odds, and it's obvious what the outcome would have been had you been on the ballot. You should be proud of the race you ran.

Hope springs eternal, Kathleen. A whole lot of people are rooting for you. And if you don't make it this time, we're not disappearing the next time election rolls around.

I know that it is after the election, but was there instructions on the ballot that indicate that you need to "color in the box" for write-ins?

Personally, I filled in the box, but don't remember being instructed to do so on the ballot; that should be information provided to a voter at the polls. If coloring in the box was not made clear by ballot instructions, then why is there a question of counting?
