I am a no vote on HB 1192 because this is a new tax, not a repeal of an existing tax. It concerns levying a 2.9% state sales tax on standardized software.

At present, unaffiliated candidates for statewide office in Colorado face the most stringent requirements in the nation in terms of gaining access to the ballot. Unaffiliated candidates for statewide seats must register as unaffiliated 17 months prior to the general election. This bill would change that requirement to make it a shorter time period.
